SMS Text Messages (For Management Web Portal):

SMS texting can be sent from the mobile job sheet by the mobile user or you can send a SMS text from the management web Portal.
You first need to set up an account with a third party company called Text Local.

If you have repeating text formatted messages to be sent out you are able to create these standard text messages containing Print Marks which will be replaced by the real information for example the engineer name, customer name, site name, site contact etc. These Print Marks can be added to the standard text and when you send a text the Print Marks will be replaced with the real information.

To configure the SMS messaging system follow this short step-by-step guide;
 
1.    On the Management Web Portal you can add or edit the standard text messages by going to the Configuration Page then scroll down to the Less Frequent/Advanced tab. Click on the tab and then select the Manage SMS Standard Messages button.

 
2.    On the Standard Text Set-Up page you will see 3 fields that contain New Texts, An Auto Populating Area and Existing Messages. You can edit these fields but make sure to click the Save Changes button.
